What VetPass delivers

One schema. Every system. Across the whole of Europe.

Discover

Browse every national and supranational system governing veterinary specialisation across Europe — filterable by country, species, domain, and training route.

Compare

Training duration, supervised practice requirements, examinations, and CPD-for-renewal — displayed side by side across systems for any specialty.

Recognise

A full graph of mutual recognition links between systems — which recognises which, on what legal basis, and to what depth — the intelligence behind practitioner mobility.

Assure

Accreditation bodies, peer-review cycles, public registers, and complaints mechanisms held to the same comparable schema across every system in the register.

About the project

Six Working Groups. One shared goal.

VET-PASS (Veterinary Professional and Academic Specialisation Systems) is a COST Action (CA22144) running 2026–2030 across 30+ European countries. Its aim is to create a transparent, harmonised and data-driven framework for postgraduate veterinary specialisation across COST Members — enabling comparable standards, workforce intelligence, career development, professional mobility and stronger veterinary contributions to One Health.

Eight original Work Packages have been consolidated into six Working Groups in line with COST MoU guidance.
